Where it Began

Back in 2018, I was flying home from Hawaii after celebrating my 30th birthday. I vividly remember looking out the window after scrolling on Instagram and seeing all these beautiful place in Washington, the state i live in and thinking to myself "How have i lived there for over 20 years and never seen these places". I never felt like a Washingtonian before that. I needed to find my connection to the state other than growing up there. I started hiking and backpacking alone. After that first summer I was hooked. The deeper I explored my home state the more I wanted to see more. This blog is about that. It's for those looking to find more than just the surface level of things. Those willing to do the extra work to feel like they're apart of something just as I did.
